Roztocze is an excellent destination for those who like to spend time on hiking trails. Among the trails and forest paths are hidden places that stimulate the imagination and encourage exploration, such as fascinating rock formations.

In Nowiny Horynieckie, you can find the Temple of the Sun, a small irregularly shaped rock with a hole in the middle, which according to legend was a pagan cult site. Their rituals supposedly began when the first rays of the sun passed through the hole in the rock. The attraction is hidden in the forest about a kilometer east of the village chapel of St. John Nepomucene.

Another rock attraction is the Devil's Stone. This limestone monolith, intriguingly named from a geologist's perspective, is nothing more than an outcrop of Tertiary limestone rocks. However, there is a more interesting and mysterious explanation for the origin of this huge boulder. According to local legend, it was supposed to serve the devil to destroy a nearby Basilian monastery. However, at one point, the tired and exhausted devil decided to rest, put down the stone, and fell asleep. His anger at himself was immense when he was woken by the crowing of a rooster in the morning. This led to the failure of his mission, and in anger, the devil abandoned the huge boulder and never returned to that place.
