FOOTHILLS EXPRESS

Enjoy the ride, whilst beautiful views unhurriedly unfold from the carriage windows

Admire the landscapes of the San River valley, the Mleczki valley, the Dynowskie Foothills. In a word - silence, tranquility, bliss. Then ... oh my! Are we getting into someone else's property? Fortunately, this is just an illusion. The tracks of the Przeworsk Narrow Gauge Railway lead so close to residential houses that one sometimes has the impression of passing through home gardens. There are numerous steel bridges, sharp curves or steep climbs along the route, as a result of the varied terrain.

Amazing journey

The train journey begins in Przeworsk and runs along the 46-kilometer-long track through the villages: Urzejowice, Kańczuga, Manasterz, Hadle Szklarskie, Jawornik Polski, Szklary, Bachórz to the final station in Dynów. An unusual attraction is Poland's only and Europe's longest narrow-gauge line tunnel, 602 meters long, running under Szklarka Mountain.

Narrow-gauge Railway Museum

The starting station of the Przeworsk Narrow Gauge Railway is located at the Przeworsk Main railroad station. This 19th-century building has organized museum rooms displaying exhibits historically and thematically related to the narrow-gauge railway. The terminal station features a historic train station building, a waiting room, and a historic locomotive. Fans of regional cuisine and amateur handcarriage riders are transported from Dynów to Bachórz free of charge. A vintage narrow-gauge railroad rolling stock is also on display in Bachórz. You can also eat well there.
