Boguchwała

how to get there

Teodor Konstanty Lubomirski chose the village, in those times called Piotraszówka, for his summer-time residence. Today the buildings erected by him are the most valuable landmarks of cultural heritage in the town. The impressive late-Baroque palace, which was built in 1725–1729 at a site previously occupied by a fortified manor house of the Ligęza family, was modelled after the royal residence in Wilanów. The palace was located within a geometric French-style garden and in its vicinity there was a late-Baroque church and presbytery. In the 19th century the palace was significantly altered. The nearby granary and entrance gate also date from that time. Today the palace houses a secondary school.

Those into water sports are bound to enjoy the water park with numerous attractions, including a sail boat, slides, playground and many others.

For many years Boguchwała has hosted outdoor painting workshops designed for artists from Poland and from abroad. The event ends with an exhibition of works by the participating artists.
