A relic of the past is the local urban layout, which has been preserved since the city's founding and is best visible in the Głogów market square. It is worth noting not only the city hall itself, as the surrounding townhouses are also exceptionally interesting. The Głogów market square is one of the largest in our country. Its area covers 2.4 hectares

Głogów Małopolski

how to get there

The central and most interesting tourist attraction is the market square, one of the largest in our country. The main focal point is, of course, the town hall, easily recognizable owing to its adorned tower. Although Głogów Małopolski faced numerous invasions, this building dates back to the times when these lands belonged to the Lubomirski family. The charm of this place is enhanced by nearby 19th-century tenements. Notable among them is the Music School building, distinguished by its arcades.

An interesting attraction, not only for tourists, but also for the residents of Głogów, is the multimedia fountain, which pleases the eye especially just after dusk. You can admire it from nearby benches set up in the market square.

Local temples are also worth attention. The nearest to the center is the single-nave neo-Romanesque church of the Holy Trinity from the 19th century. Its external façade is dominated by two towers. The local painting of the Mother of God with the Child, also known as Głogów Madonna, is highly revered.

Active tourism is a popular leisure activity in the area. Within the area of Głogów Małopolski lies a part of the "Bór" Reserve and the Głogów Forests. Two hiking trails run through the city: the yellow trail - "Around Rzeszow" and the blue trail. Bicycle trails also run through the area.

For fans of activities, the "Wodnik" Sports and Recreation Center (https://plywalnia.glogow-mlp.pl/ ) is also a recommended place. It offers a swimming pool, sports fields, a tennis court, an ice rink, a Traffic Town, and an outdoor gym. The water reservoirs in the northwestern part of the city are an excellent place not only for walks. That's where you can find Traczewski Pond, a paradise for anglers, where a water equipment rental facility has recently been established.

Głogów Małopolski is a great place for horse enthusiasts, as it is home to the Forest Wola Horse Stud (https://www.lesnawola.pl/ ), where horse riding lessons and camps are offered. Additionally, there is the "Zabajka" Folk Equestrian Club (https://www.zabajka.org/ ).
