Manor and Park Complex in Straszęcin was built in the 18th century
In the first half of the 19th century it was reconstructed by the owner of the estate, Atanazy Raczyński, bearer of Nałęcz coat of arms, who also owned Zawada estate, the main residence of the Raczyński family in Podkarpackie. On this occasion the house in Straszęcin was remodelled into a compact structure with a rectangular floor plan and with discreet architectural decorations. The two-story building comprises an attic with garrets. The wall facing the garden is quite plain and features a back door as well as a small balcony on the first floor.
This modest abode is located amidst a garden featuring two different layouts. Its southern part represents Italian type quartered garden. On three sides it is lined with a hornbeam avenue, and in front of the wall facing the garden we can see flowerbeds and shrubs. The northern part is a landscaped garden, comprising a circular driveway in front of the house, as well as entry way and areas designed for strolling. Here we can see native as well as exotic tree species. In addition to lime trees, sycamores and hornbeams growing along avenues, we can admire robinias, spruces, poplars, chestnuts, ashes, pines, yews, catalpas, magnolias and almond trees, growing alone or in groups, the most ancient of these being far more than one hundred years old.
