HOW DOES SIGHTSEEING THE GLASS HERITAGE CENTER LOOK LIKE?

 

The modern and interactive Glass Heritage Centre in Krosno is proof of the unique attractions awaiting visitors to the Low Beskids. A visit to the Centre offers the opportunity to discover the fascinating story of glassmaking traditions and admire beautiful glass objects – works created by artists and designers. Live demonstrations of glass forming and decorating, hands-on workshops, as well as permanent and temporary exhibitions all contribute to a rich and diverse offer that has already attracted over half a million visitors. It is certainly an excellent choice for anyone wondering what to see in the Low Beskids.

Among the main highlights are spectacular live demonstrations of glass production and decoration, performed in front of visitors at a real glass furnace by skilled master glassmakers. Visitors can also observe glass decorators working with various methods and techniques. Animals and flowers formed from glass rods, precise engraving, stained-glass masterpieces, hand-painted angels, beautiful glass objects and sculptures within arm’s reach – all this and much more awaits guests at the Glass Heritage Centre.

For those interested, the Centre also offers glass-decorating workshops adapted to the age and skills of participants; quarterly Krosno Glass Meetings with free admission for all glass enthusiasts; and “Glass Mornings” for children held on the last Sunday of each month. In addition, the on-site shop offers unique glass souvenirs as well as functional and artistic glass products.
