Located 7 kilometres away from Przemyśl, the village of Bolestraszyce is famous for the magnificent arboretum covering an area of 25 ha
In the Arboretum there are nearly four thousand species, forms and varieties of plants. Foundations of the establishment are linked with a landed estate whose origins go back to the Middle Ages. Located on the first floor of the manor house, the natural history museum presents a few exhibitions. Within the arboretum you can also see a 19th century fort, once part of the fortress of Przemyśl.
International Festival of Dogwood takes place here; the aim of the event is to promote knowledge about traditional products including those made of Cornelian Cherry.
