Because of its wealth of history, numerous landmarks and the atmosphere of the old Polish-Ruthenian borderland, the city stands out for its unique atmosphere

Przemyśl

HOW TO GET THERE

Its centre is located along the right bank of the San River. The Town Square is lined with houses built in the 16th and 17th century, later altered significantly. The most impressive are the brick houses with arcades, along its southern frontage.

Definitely worth visiting, the National Museum of Przemyśl Region (1 Berka Joselewicza Square) presents expositions related to history and ethnography as well as large collections of art and icons.

A great attraction here is the Museum of Bells and Pipes, located in a late Baroque clock tower from the 18th century (Władycze St.). Indeed, as early as the 1800s Przemyśl was well known for the bells and pipes manufactured here. You can see here for instance an old pipe manufacturing shop with furnishings and tools. The viewing terrace on top of the tower is a wonderful place to admire the architecture of Przemyśl.

The city hosts numerous events, e.g. Podkarpackie Tourist Fairs organized in May. During the event you can learn about various options on offer for visitors in Podkarpackie, admire works of regional craftsmen, and enjoy numerous concerts.
