The Underground Route in Przemyśl provides a peek into the life of people living in the town years ago. Owing to the interactive expositions arranged in an attractive way, the tour of the place is a truly engaging experience. The expositions cover such issues as history of the city's fortifications, local culinary traditions, and sanitary practices of the local townspeople. Of course this is only a small part of what you can see during the tour of the cellars.
More than 30 rooms are open to visitors. In addition to the cellars with lots of exhibits, the tour also leads through the historic sanitary sewer. At the end of the route, there is also a small cinema room where a film is screened.
The secrets of Przemyśl can be explored along the underground route by visitors with visual and hearing impairments. Special tactile graphics and tactile objects make it easier to inspect the exhibits using the sense of touch. Visitors can also use a special audio descriptive guide. Those with hearing impairment can use a video recording with a sign language interpreter.
