Brzozów situated along the Stobnica river, dates from the 14th century. Discovered in the 1920s, springs of mineral water, rich in iodine and bromine, were once used in the health resorts of Anatolówka and Brzozów-Zdrój
The most precious landmark here is the 17th century church dedicated to Transfiguration of the Lord. Inside there is a Baroque altar with a painting depicting crucifixion of Jesus Christ. One should not miss the encrusted ambo, with polychrome sculptures in the niches as well as the black marble font in St. Anne’s chapel.
Surprisingly, there is a building of train station in Brzozów, even though no tracks lead to the town. Construction of a railway was planned here in the times when this area was under Austrian authority, but the plan was not executed.
Those who love walking will surely enjoy a stroll along the 2.5 km Brzozów-Zdrój educational trail. Next to the car park, where the trail begins and ends, there is a roofed area with a campfire place.
