Dynów is located on the high-rising bank of the San River, amidst the Dynowskie Foothills. The oldest reference to the town, which was then called Denow, dates from 1423

how to get there

While visiting the town you should see the late Renaissance church of St. Lawrence, built in the 17th century, with beautiful vaulting decorated with stuccowork. Other notable features include the altar with the painting of Our Lady of Dynów, the ambo from the 18th century and the wooden font from 17th century. Next to the church there is a 18th century belfry with St. Teresa’s chapel.

The 46 kilometre long route of the narrow gauge railway ends here in Dynów. Running between Przeworsk and Dynów the Pogórzanin Train is a major attraction in the region, as it takes visitors through the lovely areas, the highlight of the trip being a passage through a 602 metre long tunnel.
