Łodzina is a charming historic village whose origins date back to the 15th century, located within the former royal lands of the Sanok starosty. The village’s most valuable monument is the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, formerly a Greek Catholic church dating from the mid-18th century, which has preserved the unique atmosphere of historic sacred architecture to this day. The interior of the church is adorned with a historic iconostasis and 19th-century icons, reminding visitors of the region’s multicultural heritage. The wooden log-built structure, surrounded by old trees, is an interesting example of the blending of Eastern and Western traditions in church architecture.
