The synagogue in Lesko, from 1626–1654, represents an early mannerist Baroque style; the material used in the construction was a mixture of pebbles, cut stone and brick. Its structure comprises a number of features which are at variance with traditional rules of synagogue construction

These include the round corner tower as well as the gables decorated with stone vases. A spiral staircase in the tower once provided access to the Jewish prison. The interior furnishings have not been preserved. The building was devastated by the Nazis during WWII. For years after the war the synagogue was in a state of disrepair. In the second half of the 20th century the building was restored and transformed into a gallery promoting local artists. From1995 it also houses Museum of Galician Jews.
