Why is it worth visiting the Museum of the Leżajsk Region?

Let us invite you to the Starościński Manor House Complex, currently the Museum of the Leżajsk Region, to learn about the history of the town and the region, about the local brewing traditions, as well as the craftsmanship of Leżajsk toy makers.  Wooden toys can also be purchased in the museum shop.

You can visit 3 permanent exhibitions at the Leżajsk Region Museum:

  • The history of the town and the region,
  • Ethnographic and Toy Exhibition,
  • Leżajsk Brewery Exhibition.

 

The exhibition of the History of the Town and the Region includes exhibits documenting the rich history of these areas. The exhibits include, among others, acts and privileges, school documents, the town seal, military and a fragment of a cremation cemetery. 

 

The Leżajski Brewery exhibition is an opportunity to learn about the history of local and global brewing industry. Visiting the exhibition, you can learn about the beer production process, see exhibits related to traditional brewing, see what mugs and labels used to look like, and admire the awards won by the Leżajsk brewery.

 

The Ethnographic and Toy Exhibition presents old wooden toys that were produced in and around Leżajsk. The exhibition includes, among others, carriages, prams and cradles for dolls, birds, rocking horses. In the carpentry workshop, you will see a 19th-century lathe used to produce toys. The exhibition also includes everyday objects that were necessary in domestic and farm work.

 

 

What is included in the price of a ticket to the Museum of the Leżajsk Region?

The price of the ticket to the exhibition of the History of the Town and the Region and the Ethnographic and Toy exhibition includes the possibility of visiting these two exhibitions on your own, limited only by the opening hours of the Museum.

However, the price of a ticket to the Leżajsk Brewery exhibition includes Leżajsk beer tasting.
