HOW DO THE WORKSHOPS ABOUT OBSOLETE OCCUPATIONS LOOK LIKE?

The Bieszczady School of Crafts is a place where the region’s culture plays the main role, with traditions leading the way, especially for obsolete occupations. It is proof of how unique and extraordinary Bieszczady attractions are. BSR offers interesting workshops, conducted by experienced craftsmen with the Interactive Museum in Uherce Mineralne as the icing on the top. The visit starts with a presentation that explains the cultural heritage of the region and the case of obsolete occupations in a nice and comprehensive way. Then comes the time for classes that, depending on the choice, may take a different route. The most frequent one is the option that includes 3 different workshops, during which the participants find out the origin of proziak podkarpacki, as well as learn how to prepare it and finally, consume IT. However, it is not all part of the workshop people get acquainted with pre-war calligraphy, making their greetings and rolling the dishes on potter’s wheels. Another popular option is the proziak show with tasting – after the presentation, visitors take their shot at the process of making and baking proziak (only willing people), accompanied by stories about the farm’s equipment and other workshops that take place in the Bieszczady School of Crafts. Additionally, participants get the chance to take part in the quiz about obsolete occupations and the whole region. Those interested can also get souvenirs and unique ceramics produced on the spot in the nearby gallery. The School of Crafts ensures the finest attractions for children in Bieszczady, while remaining a great form of development and passing time experience for adults.
