Galician town with wooden buildings around the main square
In Pruchnik you can admire characteristic medieval layout of the main square with wooden houses. There are approximately 40 buildings, the oldest dating from the 1700s, some with arcades, each with unique shape and decorative elements. These are post and beam or log buildings, with tall half-hip or gablet roofs covered with shingles. Some houses feature originally shaped front porches. Facades of the houses are embellished with fanciful cut-outs. Because of its original urban layout Pruchnik is an example of a typical old Galician town.
