The current headquarters of the Regional Museum is a house that once belonged to an extraordinary figure - Dr. Stanisław Kadyi. This remarkable individual not only served as a physician but was also a passionate collector. His exceptional collections now form a part of the museum's collection, and the institution itself bears his name.
The Regional Museum in Jasło possesses over 20,000 exhibits and archival materials. The institution primarily collects exhibits related to the history of the city and the region, dividing them into two sections: historical and ethnographic.
The collection regarding history is considerably more extensive. Among them, a particularly valuable collection is that of art, including Gothic and Baroque sculptures, as well as icons. One can also view clocks (from the 17th to the 20th century), porcelain (from the 18th to the 19th century), and furniture. Among the collection, it's worth mentioning works by local artists, including Apolinary Kotowicz, Stanisław Szczepański, and Seweryn Bieszczad. However, the largest collection of artworks is that of the paintings by Ignacy Pinkas. The ethnographic collection mainly consists of traditional costumes of the Pogórzanie and Łemko people, which are not only beautiful but also represent the culture and traditions of the region. One can also see ceramic products, tools used in agriculture, as well as blacksmith and carpentry products, reflecting the skills and craftsmanship of our ancestors.
