It is not only one of the greatest attractions of Bieszczady tourist region but also one of the most important places worth visiting when planning a trip to this picturesque part of Poland, where nature intertwines with history and culture.

Museum of Rural Architecture in Sanok, founded in 1958, covers an area of 38 hectares. The open-air museum has gathered over 180 objects representing the cultural diversity of the region. The Boyko, Lemko, Dolinian sectors and Galician town square with replicas of wooden houses bring history and tradition to life. It presents the richness of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland from the 17th to the 20th century, creating a unique picture of our ancestors' lives. Residential and farm buildings as well as religious ones, including churches, Boyko Orthodox churches, an impressive Lemko church, and an accurate replica of a synagogue from Połaniec, add authenticity to the landscape and form the heart of this museum's open-air exhibition.
