The observatory was adapted from a former water tower built in 1954. It once supplied water to steam locomotives, and later was unused for a long time. Presently, it has become a tourist attraction, allowing visitors to learn about the secrets hidden by the cosmos.

The 25 m high building has an observation deck that allows not only to admire the surrounding area. This is where the telescopes are located. This professional equipment allows watching the sky and space. Installed models and mockups show, among other things, how craters are formed and what a black hole is. A major advantage of the place is the opportunity to observe the sun, an attraction rarely available at observatories. A special telescope is used for this purpose. It allows a safe look at the surface structures of the sun.

In addition, an optical park has been prepared near the tower. Equipped with devices from the field of optics and mechanics, it allows learning through play.

The former pumping station building now serves as an exhibition venue and lecture hall. Interesting workshops and lectures on physics and astronomy are held here. Space enthusiasts eagerly share their knowledge with everyone interested.
