The thematic exhibitions, displayed on the three floors, are mainly related to the specialisations of our region, namely: aviation, aerospace, IT and telecommunications as well as quality of life, as a broadly understood concept. It is a fascinating place for those wishing to learn and experience sciences in the most interactive way.
On the ground floor you can learn about aviation. Of particular interest is the flight simulator in which you can, for instance, experience gravitational overloads. The first floor holds an exposition about Nature. Your attention will definitely be caught by life-size models of the wisent and bear. Here you can find out what sounds are produced by animals and learn about the operation of a hydroelectric power plant. This floor also holds all the laboratories. The final, second floor focuses on the human body and life. A cross-section of human organs will help to understand the workings of our body. We can also use a special device to measure our decibels. Other exhibits on display will make it possible for you to learn about the structure of wood, the types of roots and the principles of waste sorting. This is only a small fraction of what you can see and experience at the Podkarpackie Science Centre "Łukasiewicz".
Five laboratories were built in the Centre, i.e., Fablab, Robotics Lab, Biology and Ecology Lab, Chemistry Lab and Physics Lab, to make it possible for visitors to explore in more depth various phenomena of the surrounding world. Each facility is fully furnished with equipment necessary for performing experiments, and engineering projects. All workshops are conducted and supervised by instructors who provide guidance during the experiments and ensure safety of the participants.
You are free to explore the exposition in any order, and you can start all the exhibits by yourself. Operation of all the devices is supervised by educators.
