The bears, wolves and deer featured in the exhibits allow you to stand "eye to eye" with these animals. Thanks to three-dimensional dioramas, places like a beaver lodge have been depicted very realistically. You can therefore find yourself close to a place that is usually hardly accessible to humans. A visualization of the former settlements in the Bieszczady allows visitors to go back to more distant times. You can see what life used to be like in this area. Some of the etchings and photographs collected here show buildings that have not stood the test of time.
Interactive games await the youngest visitors, as well as a special chat room where you can peek into the everyday life of local animal species.
The museum reveals the secrets of local nature to visitors in a modern way. Interactive exhibits lead tourists through successive plant-climatic levels, paleontological periods, but also the history of the formation of the Carpathians. The history of the largest national park in the Polish mountains could not be missing among the topics covered in the expositions.
The Bieszczadzki National Park Museum is located in the very center of Ustrzyki Dolne. The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, and in summer also on Sundays. It's worth reserving around an hour for this extraordinary nature lesson.
